July 21-23, 2026 - The 2026 Northeast-Midwest Prescribed Fire Science and Management Workshop took place with its successful format dubbed "Blended Learning Excursion." The three day event, whose theme was Adaptation and Resilience, featured virtual presentations (Day 1 and Day 3) and in person field trips (Day 2). For those that could not attend an in person field trip a group of subject matter experts offered up an online session related to educational opportunities and resources related to prescribed burning.
